Introducing This Year’s Committee Heads

We are so excited to introduce this year’s committee heads! These eight women will lead our committees through meetings and tasks, contributing to the success of the Drewry chapter. The first committee meeting will be held on Oct. 3rd before the general body meeting.
Ellie Hamrick, Content Committee Head
Ellie is a public relations major who is minoring in English and pursuing a certificate in interdisciplinary writing. Besides PRSSA, she is the Social Media Coordinator for Rescue Paws, as well as a member of the social media committee for Tri Delta sorority. Her favorite part about PRSSA is how interesting the speakers are. Ellie is excited to spend this semester as a committee head.
Anna Womack, DEI and Outreach Co-Committee Head
Anna is a public relations major and is minoring in communications. She is also pursuing two certificates in public affairs communications and personal and organizational leadership. She holds the position of Director of Training at Talking Dog Agency, is a Grady ambassador and is also a Tieger Caudell Fellow for the PAC Program. Additionally, she is a brand ambassador for UPS at UGA. She enjoys being a committee head, as it gives her the opportunity to get to know members throughout different cohorts in Grady and network with industry professionals.
Zoe Flores, DEI and Outreach Co-Committee Head
Zoe is a public relations major with a political science minor; she is also pursuing the public affairs communications certificate. Outside of PRSSA, she serves as the event planning committee head for ADPR Connection. Her favorite part about PRSSA is meeting new people and learning from leaders in different parts of the industry.
Maddi Carson, Public Relations Co-Committee Head
Maddi is a public relations major with a general business minor. She is also pursuing the new media certificate. Aside from PRSSA, she serves on the board of directors for Talking Dog as the Director of Intern Relations and Talent. She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority, Order of Omega, and a global Grady ambassador. Her favorite part about PRSSA is the guest speakers and networking opportunities that led her to receive an internship this past summer.
Jenna Bertschi, Public Relations Co-Committee Head
Jenna is a public relations and political science double major and is also pursuing the public affairs communications certificate. Additionally, she is involved in her sorority, Delta Gamma as the Director of Rituals and Wesley Foundation where she leads a small group. Her favorite thing about PRSSA is making friends through the organization who have similar interests.
Jillian Botch, Member Relations Committee Head
Jillian is a public relations major with a general business minor. On campus, she is the Body Image and Wellness Coordinator for Tri Delta Sorority in addition to PRSSA where she was on the member relations committee last year. She has built a strong network with peers and mentors, and feels inspired at the general body meetings.
Lauren Beeco, Social Media Committee Head
Lauren is an advertising major with minors in communications and Spanish. Besides PRSSA, she is also involved in the University Union on campus. PRSSA has brought her a community of like-minded individuals where she has made friends and connections.
Lauren Kim, Event Planning Co-Committee Head
Lauren is a public relations and political science double major and is also pursuing a certificate in public affairs communications. In addition to PRSSA, she is the Director of Research and Strategy for Talking Dog Agency, the head of PR and social chair for Noteworthy A Cappella, a Grady ambassador, a Co-Director of Special Events for Delta Gamma and a camper for the Guide Dog Foundation. She values getting to know other students better in a non-academic setting and loves the networking opportunities with professionals in PRSSA.
Katie Barber, Event Planning Co-Committee Head
Katie is a public relations major with a general business minor. She stays involved on campus through UGA Miracle and is a member of Phi Mu sorority. Her favorite part about PRSSA is the community it has provided her within Grady, as well as an open space to discuss career goals, internship struggles and recommendations with people who have had similar experiences.
